Public Services

Public services are those – such as health and education – considered so essential they are made available to all citizens, regardless of income. For much of the UK’s recent history they have been provided by the state: paid for by general taxation and run on behalf of the country by the government.

BTEC Firsts in Public Services can help you take your first steps towards a career supporting the public. In this course our pupils learn the essential skills for a wide range of careers, from the armed services and police force to roles at local authorities and central government.
