Mrs Naughton – Senior Teacher

When did you start in Glengormley High and what roles have you undertaken?

I joined Glengormley High School as a Maths teacher in 2008 after teaching in Liverpool for five years. Previous to my current role as Senior teacher, I was Examinations Officer, Pastoral Learning Leader, Head of Year and Reporting, Tracking and Data Manager.

What is your Key function in Glengormley High School?

My key role in school is to develop our young people’s ability and aspiration to learn through encouragement, support and celebration of success. I am committed to doing my very best so that every pupil gets the most from their experience at GHS and is equipped with the skills and knowledge they need for life and the next part of their journey.

Tell us one thing most people wouldn’t know?

I started my working life as soon as I could walk, helping out in my parents’ shop. It was here I developed my mental arithmetic skills, strong work ethic and love of chocolate!
