Read On 2017
Our Key Stage 3 pupils took part in a sponsored ‘Read On’ and raised an impressive £2135.02 for the The Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children. Pupils read during their English lessons for one week and collected sponsorship from family and friends. We are delighted with the amazing amount raised for this local charity. Rebecca Oates, a representative from the charity, received the cheque from David Magee, Holly Bell, Denise Turkington and Ryan McCleave. Well done to everyone involved!
I really enjoyed the Read On week. Glengormley High School together raised over £2,000 for a very good cause. Our sponsor money will help pay for treatment and care for the children.
Throughout Read On I enjoyed being able to get involved with The Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children. It was a great way to help those in need and to support them financially.
