Learning For Life and Work
Welcome to Learning for Life and Work. This subject is central in helping young people develop the fundamental skills, knowledge, qualities and dispositions that are pre-requisites for life and work.
All pupils in Glengormley High School study Personal Development during Form Class activities. Recent topics have included the need for sleep, decision making and healthy eating. KS3 pupils also study Citizenship, looking at topics such as diversity, democracy and inclusion.
There are currently four GCSE classes due to sit their examination in June 2015. They have been completing projects on the role of the Police Ombudsman and the financial difficulties faced by teenage parents. GCSE classes are currently taught by Mr M Ewart, Miss S Thorne, Mr A Carleton and Miss C McAllister.
