Head Prefect Team

“I am so excited to represent Glengormley High as a Head Prefect. I started GHS in Year 10 after moving here from England. I was incredibly hesitant to start as I struggled to speak to people, but very soon I found that through the support and encouragement from the teachers, I began to make friends. With that continued enthusiasm, I achieved 9 GCSE grades A-B and through opportunities presented by the school, I have gained a further two qualifications and completed my Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards. Ultimately, Glengormley High has taught me the importance of channeling my focus and sense of self, which I believe will benefit me in the next chapter of my life.”

“I have been a pupil of Glengormley High School since 2014 and from day one all my experiences have been positive. My teachers have encouraged and pushed me at every turn, and it is them I must thank for where I am today as Head Prefect. It is also thanks to them that I currently have excellent GCSE grades behind me and brilliant predicted grades at A Level to help me in my future aspirations to have a career in architecture/design. GHS has also allowed me to make lifelong friendships and develop into the person I am today and for that I am forever grateful.”

“Since I started Glengormley High School in Year 8, I have thrived academically and made friends for life. Throughout my years in junior school, I enjoyed a wide variety of subjects and after-school activities. This led to my nine successful GCSE results, which then helped me choose my A level subjects. I currently study Biology, History and Technology and Design. Upon completion, if successful, this will allow me to apply to a range of universities. I enjoy representing my peers in the senior school council, as a peer mentor and I am also delighted to be a Head Prefect. My time at Glengormley High School has provided me with many options for my future and I would encourage anyone to make the same choice I did.”
