Former pupils visit the Maths Department

On Friday 22nd June former pupils Anna O’Connor and Katie Diven called in for a visit. Anna is studying Sociology with criminology at UUJ and Katie is completing an accountancy apprenticeship with PWC.

The girls said

I miss school, I really miss it, I miss the routine, sixth year were the best years, we had such close relationships with our teachers.

Nicholson Bass are recruiting apprentices

Nicholson Bass is now in the process of recruiting apprentices for their plant in Mallusk, they are part of the Bradley group which currently operates factories in Belfast, Isle of Man and Liverpool.


The vision at Nicholson Bass is to become the biggest and best printer in Ireland. This is an exciting role for any young driven individual who wishes to pursue a career within the printing industry.


This would suit school leavers from the age of 16-18. Nicholson Bass are looking to employ 5 individuals in our Mallusk factory, for further information contact Mr Glen Miskimmon on 02890 342433 or by email gmiskimmin@nicholsonbass.com.

Summer Volunteering with Bright Young things

Are you 16+, interested in drama, theatre, performing arts or teaching ? Looking for something to do over the summer? Bright Young Things provides award-winning drama workshops designed to build Confidence, Communication, Creativity and vital social skills, through the power of drama.



In Summer 2018 they will be hosting a series of camps at 17 locations. They are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for each of the camps this summer and ongoing volunteering and training opportunities beyond this.
