Cash for Kids Coffee Morning March 2018

On Thu 22nd March Staff & sixth form held another coffee morning to raise money for Cash For Kids. Once again this created a positive atmosphere within the staff room, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We also had Lara Wilgaus from Year 11 play us a few tunes on her guitar which was brilliant. We would just like to thank ALL who brought in buns/cake faked or baked – it was another successful fundraiser for Glengormley High. We raised £186.54 from today’s event – thank you to all who donated money.

In total we have raised an amazing £1253.07 from a combination of the 5K a day completed by some members of staff and the coffee morning today.

Thank you once again.

Year 8 Girls complete couch to 5K

6 weeks ago the year 8 girls embarked on a couch to 5k challenge. At the start of the process the girls did the bleep test to gauge their fitness. The girls have worked so hard and completed the 5k challenge and on Friday 23rd Feb they retested their fitness. We are so proud of each and every one of them as they SMASHED their initial scores! Their grit and determination was outstanding. Well done all of you!

Pupils support staff completing 5K a day challenge

Day 23 of the ‘Cash for Kids’ 5K a day challenge

Today pupils and staff got the opportunity to sponsor the staff who have taken on this challenge.

Mr Clarke ran his 5K in the fitness suite and pupils gave him words of encouragement.
