Nice write up in the Integrated Education Fund Newsletter on the surge in applications we're received this year. It's very exciting to witness the progress we continue to make.
The Glengormley High School amazing journey just got more exciting. They have just accepted the largest number of P7 children to join the school in over 14 years - with more than twice the number of P7 pupils transferring in September 2020 than in September 2018.
In March of this year there was strong parental support for integration at Glengormley High School, where a ballot had returned a resounding “Yes” vote for the school to begin the journey of working towards achieving integrated status.
Principal Ricky Massey declared himself thrilled with the result and thanked parents for their support and engagement in the process. Commenting on the next steps, he said,
“The Board of Governors, leadership and staff are delighted with the overwhelmingly positive outcome from our parental ballot and a very strong message of ‘Yes’ for integration.” ... See MoreSee Less

As we say goodbye to our pupils for this academic year and look forward to a fresh start together in September it is hard not to feel a sense of loss for our Year 14 pupils who had the end of their time at Glengormley High snatched away.
This year represented the culmination of 7 years hard work for these pupils, robbed of the chance to sit their exams. Our Year 14 have amazed their teachers in so many ways...in their hard work, fantastic attitudes, diligence, dedication, resilience and in becoming great examples of the Glengormley Way.
You were a pleasure to teach, filling our classrooms with imagination, character, creativity, laughter and positivity. One of the great joys of being a teacher is that we have been able to bear witness to your development across the years and, at the sunset of your time at Glengormley High, we wish you all the best for your future, wherever it may take you. You leave us in school with so many wonderful memories that we have shared together, memories we will treasure.
Year 14 ….be proud of yourselves and what you have achieved. You have been fantastic ambassadors for our school and we are proud to have had you as part of the GHS family. We look forward to seeing you in August as you embark on your next chapter.

Thank yous for everything I've had the best 8 years 😊
Thank you all for everything❤️
Best 7 years
Any sign of the hoodies for year 14 leavers I think it’s a shame that they didn’t get their formal, didn’t get to leave school properly and now possibly no hoodie, not really fair
Thank you for lovely memories 🥰
To all our school community - that's a wrap for our school year 2019/2020... a year we will never forget.
As we said last week we are so proud of our pupils and parents for being fantastic during lockdown and distance learning. We hope that this Summer brings lots of fun with friends and family, long sunny days and more precious memories.
We will be in touch over the Summer with key news regarding our return to school and though we will enjoy a Summer break we look forward to being together as a school again in August. Have a great Summer everyone and stay safe!
